Noo-Kayet Development Corporation is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time Receptionist

The receptionist is the first and last person to be in contact with our visitors.  The first impression created is very important; it strongly influences how our visitors feel about our organization.  The primary responsibility of the receptionist is to make sure our customers and guests feel welcome and comfortable, whether in person or on the phone.  Our Receptionist must know our organization and people well so that any questions can be quickly and accurately answered or referred to the person who can best respond. This is a small office requiring every employee to be versatile in responding to the job to be done at the moment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability and willingness to learn.  As this person gains experience, new responsibilities will be added.

Brief description of duties:

  • Greet phone and walk-in visitors and announce them to the appropriate person.
  • Maintain basic office files and assist with filing: may include creating labels for files and file storage.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly reception area
  • Courier services, such as signed documents, package pickups and bank deposits, pick up and distribute the U.S. mail to correct person every day. Pick up mail at the Tribal center as requested

Summary of Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate required. Higher level education recommended. 
  • 2-3 years of experience) in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Outlook, MS Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat Pro. 
  • 2+ years of prior administrative office experience recommended. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Must be punctual, reliable, and dependable.
  • Reliable, legal transportation and a valid driver's license

Physical requirements: Must be able to manipulate climbing stairs, walking or moving about to accomplish tasks.

Travel requirements: NKDC facilities are arranged at several locations. The Receptionist will be required to make several short trips a week to perform routine tasks. Local, regional, and out of state travel may be required.
